Rainald I (French Renaud I ) (* 986 ; † September 3rd / 4th, 1057 ) from the House of Burgundy-Ivrea was Count of Burgundy (today's Franche-Comté ); he was the son of Count Otto Wilhelm and Ermentrude von Roucy .

He married before September 1, 1016 Adélaïde de Normandie († July 7 (possibly also July 27) after 1037), a daughter of Richard II Duke of Normandy . In 1020 his son was born, who later became Count Wilhelm I.

In 1026 he succeeded his father as Count of Burgundy. King Rudolf III died in 1032 . of Burgundy without heirs and due to an old treaty left Burgundy to Emperor Conrad II , who took over the inheritance, making the county of Burgundy part of the Holy Roman Empire .

Rainald died in 1057 and was buried in Besançon Cathedral.
