Roar Strand (born February 2, 1970 in Trondheim ) is a former Norwegian football player (midfielder).
Career
Strand played for Rosenborg Trondheim from 1989 , 1993/94 on loan from Molde FK and then again until 2010 with Rosenborg. With Rosenborg he won the Tippeligaen 14 times and the Norwegian Cup (NM) 5 times. He played for this club in the away game in the Veltins Arena on December 11, 2007 for the 100th time in the Champions League and is one of the twenty players with the most appearances in this competition. Since 1992 he has even been the only player with at least 100 Champions League games (including qualification) who has never played in Italy, Spain, England or Germany.
From 1994 he ran 42 times for the Norwegian national team and scored four goals.
