Robby Maria & the Silent Revolution is the only official studio album by the Berlin band Robby Maria & the Silent Revolution around the singer and songwriter Robby Maria . It was released on April 20, 2012 on the German independent label Timezone .
Emergence
Most of the album was written by Maria alone between 2008 and 2010 and recorded with Anni Müller (drums / percussions), Ben Hunt (electric guitar / background vocals) and Simon Birkholz (bass) in various Berlin studios in winter 2010/2011. The album also contains the songs 9o1 Independence , Cars & Highways , Could've Been and Down by the Water , which Maria originally recorded with composer / guitarist Stephan Metzner for the song and poem album 9o1 Independence in Cyprus in early 2011 .

Marcel Peteroff wrote: "... I can not help after listening, Robby Maria a proximity to early David Bowie . To insinuate This is partly in vocal proximity to Bowie from the Ziggy phase, on the other hand, remember mainly by the acoustic guitar dominated Songs enormously similar to well-known Bowie songs from that time - Space Oddity and Co. send their regards again and again. The bonus tracks by Metzner / Maria, which tend towards US roots , sound much different . In both cases it sounds interesting, but also expandable " and gave the album 6 out of 10 points on Rezensator.de.
