Robert Bouladoux

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Robert-Georges Bouladoux (born April 5, 1916 in Paris , France , † 1966 there ) was a French film architect .

Life

Bouladoux completed a degree in architecture and then worked as a painter and draftsman. Bouladoux gained his first film experience as an assistant to the production designers Robert Hubert and Guy de Gastyne . Born in Paris, he was able to work independently as a film architect for the first time in 1948. Bouladoux's oeuvre is distinguished by its well-groomed mediocrity, he has worked several times on productions by the directors Gilles Grangier and Georges Lautner , whose commercially successful melodramas and thrillers he enriched with Parisian flair. Bouladoux's plush backdrops in Abel Gance's erotic morality, The Tower of Sinful Women, also deserve attention.
