Robert Briçonnet

Robert Briçonnet (* unknown; † June 3, 1497 in Reims ) was Archbishop of Reims .

Life

Robert Briçonnet was the eldest of five sons of Jean Briçonnet, and the brother of Cardinal Guillaume Briçonnet .

He was initially due to the relationship between his brother Guillaume and King Charles III. Canon of St. Aignan in Orleans, then abbot of the rich Abbey of St. Vaast in Arras. In 1493 he became Archbishop of Reims.

Guillaume was Archbishop of Reims from 1493 until his death in 1497. His successor was his youngest brother, Guillaume Briçonnet.
