Robert Gardner (golfer)

Robert Gardner ( Robert Abbe Gardner; born April 9, 1890 in Hinsdale , Illinois , † June 21, 1956 in Lake Forest , Illinois) was an American golfer and pole vaulter .

In 1909 and 1915 he won the US amateur golf championships.

On June 1, 1912, he set up a world record in the pole vault at the IC4A Championships in Philadelphia with 3.985 m.
