IC 4669 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 400 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6462 , NGC 6464 , NGC 6491 , NGC 6493 .
The object was discovered by Guillaume Bigourdan on September 24, 1895 .
