Robert Heaton

Robert Charles Heaton (born July 6, 1961 in Knutsford , Cheshire , † November 4, 2004 ) was a British drummer and member of the British band New Model Army . Together with Justin Sullivan and Stuart Morrow , he was one of the founding members of the band since the early 1980s. He was also the author of many New Model Army songs, such as B. the anthem Green and Gray .

In 1998 he retired from the band for health reasons. He had a brain tumor and was replaced by Michael Dean.

After he seemed to have overcome the disease after a successful operation and got involved in new musical projects, Heaton died surprisingly on November 4, 2004 of complications from pancreatic cancer .
