Robert III Clement

Robert III Clément († 1181 ) from the Clément du Mez family was a French nobleman and lord of Le Mez Maréchal who, like his brother Gilles Clément († 1182), took part in the government of the country under King Louis VII .

After the death of Louis VII (1180) he became the guardian of the young King Philip II .

Robert Clément is the father of the French marshals Albéric Clément (for whom the marshal office was created) and Henri I. Clément .
