Robert Minor is a former German national basketball player .

career

The 1.96 meter long inside player took part with the German selection at the European Cadet Championship in Italy in the summer of 1971 and scored 6.3 points per game over the course of the tournament. In 1972 he moved from Eintracht Frankfurt to MTV 1846 Gießen in the basketball Bundesliga and won the DBB Cup with the team in his first season . In the 1974/75 season he contributed an average of 11.2 points per game to winning the German championship title. He was also a top performer when winning the German championship in 1978: In the 77/78 season Minor posted an average of 13.9 points, making it the second best Giessen thrower during the championship year, behind the American Ted Hundley . Shortly after winning the title, namely in the summer of 1978, he played his first and only A international match for the FRG. In 1981, Minor, who had meanwhile completed his law studies, left MTV Gießen, played briefly in the neighboring town of Lich before moving to Oldenburg, where he worked as a lawyer. During his Bundesliga time in Giessen, he scored a total of 2086 points.
