Robert Pollard (musician)
Robert "Bob" Pollard (born October 31, 1957 in Dayton , Ohio ) is an American musician. He is the founder and head of the indie rock band Guided by Voices .
Life
After graduating from high school, Pollard studied at Wright State University . Until 1994 he worked alongside his music career as a high school teacher. Pollard has two children from his first marriage, which was divorced. In 2007 he married again.
He founded his band Guided by Voices in the early eighties. He also works on numerous solo projects. Pollard has written and composed more than 1,000 songs, making it one of the most prolific songwriters at the moment.
