Robert Q. Lovett is an American film editor .
Life
Lovett began his film editing career in the early 1960s . From the late 1980s he was mainly involved in television productions.
For his work on Cotton Club , he and Barry Malkin were nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Editing in 1985.
Lovett is a member of the teaching staff at the Maine Media Community and workshops. He has been teaching there since the mid-1980s.
