Robert Horatio Walpole, 10th Baron Walpole JP (born December 8, 1938 ) is a British politician and peer .

life and career

Walpole attended Eton College and at the University of Cambridge , the King's College . He earned a BA and an MA from 1970 to 1981, he was a member of Norfolk County Council . After the death of his father, Robert Walpole, 9th Baron Walpole , he became a member of the House of Lords . There he worked on various committees. Walpole is one of 90 hereditary peers who retained their seat in the House of Lords under the House of Lords Act 1999 . He's sitting there as a crossbencher. Since 2006 he has been Deputy Chairman of the Lighter Evenings Group and since 2007 he has been a member of the Statutory Instruments Joint Committee and the European Union Sub-Committee B (Internal Market) .
