Rogier Bosman

Rogier Bosman (born June 29, 1974 in The Hague ) is a Dutch jazz musician and arranger .

Bosman studied horn and school music at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and composition and arrangement at the Rotterdam Conservatory . The multi-instrumentalist plays u. a. Trumpet, horn and tuba, accordion and bandoneon, jew's harp, guitar and percussion.

After completing his studies, he worked as a choir and orchestra repetiteur and conductor in various theater productions as a composer and arranger a. a. for the Toneelgroep Oostpool , the Het RO-theater and the Metropole Orkest . He has also composed for various television productions, such as Een Nieuwe Jas, Live ( AVRO ) for the Metropole Orkest and soloists such as Huub van der Lubbe , Sarah Bettens , Acda en de Munnik , Lilian Vieira and Chantal Janzen .

Bosman is one of the founding members of the Wereldband group . With Wende Snijders he performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival 2007 as a horn player, trumpeter, accordionist and drummer. Since 2006 he has been teaching song accompaniment and arrangement at the Conservatory in The Hague.
