Robert Wilson (writer)

Robert Wilson (* 1957 ) is a British crime writer .

Life

Wilson studied English literature at Oxford and worked for years in many different professions before starting his writing career with four novels set in West Africa with the British private investigator and drunkard Bruce Medway as the central figure. After two political thrillers , in 2003 he presented the first part of a series of detective novels , which has since become globally successful, about chief inspector Javier Falcon, who works in Seville , Spain .

Robert Wilson lives in Portugal .

Wilson's Javier Falcon series was the model for the 2012 TV miniseries Falcón - a co-production of Sky (Great Britain), Canal + (Spain) and ZDF - with four episodes, which aired in the UK on Sky Atlantic in November and December 2012. Marton Csokas played the role of Chief Inspector Falcón .
