The robertinida are a shell -bearing, sea-dwelling unicellular taxon belonging to the group of foraminifera .

Features and way of life

The species in the group form shells made of translucent aragonite , which they excrete. The housings are multi-chambered and perforated and rolled up from plane spiral to trochospiral.
