Roberto Gomez (born October 5, 1978 in Zamboanga City , Mindanao ) is a Filipino pool player .
Career
His greatest career success was reaching the finals at the WPA 9-Ball World Championship in 2007 . In the final he was defeated by the Englishman Daryl Peach with 15:17. The year before , he made it to the first final round of the same tournament. His best performance at an 8-ball World Championship was reaching the round of 32 in 2008 .
At the World Pool Masters 2010 he reached the semi-finals, in which he was defeated by his compatriot Dennis Orcollo . On the way to the semi-finals, he eliminated the multiple world and European champion Ralf Souquet from Germany.
