Roberto Janet
Roberto Janet Durruty (born August 29, 1986 in Santiago de Cuba ) is a Cuban hammer thrower .
In 2009 he won the Central American and Caribbean Athletics Championships.
The following year, a victory at the Ibero-American Championships was followed by a fifth place in the 2010 Athletics Continental Cup in Split. In 2011, he defended his title at the Central American and Caribbean Championships and finished fifth at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara .
In 2012, he triumphed again at the Ibero-American Championships and was eliminated from qualifying at the Olympic Games in London . Even at the 2013 World Athletics Championships in Moscow, he did not get past the first round.
In 2014 he finished sixth at the Continental Cup in Marrakech and won the Central American and Caribbean Games .
The following year he won silver at the Pan American Games in Toronto and was twelfth at the World Cup in Beijing .
On May 28, 2015, he set the current Central America and Caribbean record in Havana with a height of 78.02 m.
