Roberto Morales Ojeda

Roberto Tomás Morales Ojeda (born June 15, 1967 ) is a Cuban politician of the Communist Party of Cuba, PCC (Partido Comunista de Cuba) , who has been Minister of Health in the Cuban Council of Ministers since 2010 .

Life

Morales Ojeda began to study medicine after attending school , which he completed in 1991 with a master's degree (Máster en Salud Pública) . He then worked as a doctor and head of the Office for Hygiene and Epidemiology as well as the community director of Rodas . He then became a full-time functionary of the party committee of the PCC in the province of Cienfuegos and was also a member of the office of the party committee of the PCC in the province of Cienfuegos and the city ​​of Cienfuegos . At the same time belonged to the city council of Cienfuegos and the parliament of the province of Cienfuegos. He was a delegate at the V Party Congress in 1997, at the VI. He was a member of the Central Committee's secretariat and subsequently First Vice Minister for Health.

In 2010, Morales Ojeda, who is also a member of the National Assembly of People's Power ( Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular ) , replaced José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera as Minister of Health (Ministro de Salud Pública) in the Cuban Council of Ministers . At the VII Party Congress in 2016 he also became a member of the Politburo of the PCC Central Committee .
