Roberto Pariante

Roberto Pariante (born February 13, 1932 in Naples , † January 5, 2009 in Rome ) was an Italian assistant director and television director .

After graduating in law , Pariante moved to Rome in 1955 , where he attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia . In 1957 he shot the short Il prete as a graduation film . From 1957 to 2003 Pariante was one of the most sought-after assistant directors in the Italian cinema and television industry. In 1973 he directed his only independent work, the television film Testimone oculare , one of four films that made up the cycle La porta nel buio , produced and written by Dario Argento . From 1996 he worked a few times as a film production manager .

As an author, he described his profession in La Méta di un sogno ( ISBN 9788877969828 ) published posthumously in 2013 .
