Roberto Riviello

Roberto Riviello (* 1954 in Potenza ) is an Italian author and film director .

Riviello has lived in Tuscany since 1974, where he first studied at the humanities faculty in Florence and graduated in philosophy. After teaching in Reggello and Valdarno for some time , during which he studied with Ermanno Olmi , he lives in Figline, where he teaches at the “Giorgio Vasari” school.

Riviello worked for the radio and the theater; This is how radio plays and dramatic material such as "Liquido pub" or "Cavalieri impossibili" were created for the RAI , which he staged himself and was awarded the "Premio Firenze". In 1998 he directed Il più lungo giorno about the life of the poet Dino Campana for the cinema, also based on his own book . He won several awards for it, but did not follow up with another work for the screen.

In 2005 Riviello wrote the play "Isabella", which deals with the life story of Isabella di Morra .
