Robin Bell (born November 16, 1977 in Cape Town ) is an Australian canoe slalom driver in the single canoe .

Robin Bell was born in South Africa and is one of the preeminent canoe slalom riders of the 2000s. He achieved his first international success in 1999 at the World Championships in La Seu d'Urgell , where he won the silver medal. At the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney , home , he reached ninth place. Four years later , the Australian narrowly missed a medal in Athens, finishing fourth. In 2005 Bell won the gold medal at the World Championships in Penrith . It was also his first World Cup victory. With the team he missed another medal in fourth. Bell was named Western Australia's Sportsman of the Year in 2005. At the 2006 World Championships in Prague , the canoeist reached sixth place. That year he reached number one in the world rankings.

The 2007 World Cup in Foz do Iguaçu went badly in the team competition. Australia only came in tenth. It went far better in the singles, where Bell won the bronze medal. The 2008 Olympic year initially brought the Oceania Championship in Penrith. He then appeared for the third time at the Games . In Beijing , Bell finished seventh after the preliminary round. In the semifinals, he improved two places and was fifth. In the final round he was again able to improve by two places and won the bronze medal behind Michal Martikán and David Florence . So far, the Australian has won three World Cups and came second five times.
