Robin Yearwood

Robin Kensworth Yearwood is an Antigua and Barbuda- born politician for the Antigua Labor Party . He has been a member of the House of Representatives without interruption since 1976 .

Life

On the political level, Yearwood became known to the general public in the 1978 general election when he ran as a candidate for the Antigua Labor Party in the constituency of St. Phillip North and prevailed with 66.84% of the vote against the candidate of the Progressive Labor Movement . Since then, he has defended the seat in every election. With a total of nine terms in office, he is the MP with the longest uninterrupted membership in the House of Representatives. During his time as a member of parliament, he also held various offices. He was one of 12 March 1999 to 25 January 2001 as minister of public utilities, housing, transportation and aviation the cabinet on. On January 26, 2001, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister and retained his ministerial post. On June 26, 2004, he took over the Treasury and from June 18, 2014, he again ran the resort for and took over the resort for public utilities, civil aviation and transportation.
