Station route Wirzenborn
The Wirzenborn station path is a station path (pilgrim path) between Montabaur and Wirzenborn . It stands as a cultural monument under monument protection .
The "Fußfalls" built in 1726 were damaged from 1937 and destroyed in 1939. In 1948, the approximately 800 meter long station path with 15 stations of the “ Seven Sorrows and Seven Joys of Mary” was rebuilt. The pilgrimage route, which is part of the long-distance hiking trail IV, ends in front of the Wirzenborn pilgrimage church , which is also a listed building. The station path, the pilgrimage church, rectory, Laufbrunnen and the Wirzenborn war memorial together form the Wirzenborn monument zone .
