Station path
A station path is a pilgrimage route with special prayer stations marked by sculptures or buildings along the way.

Stations of the Cross / Calvary Mountains
In most cases the station path is a way of the cross (via crucis) , i.e. That is, it is a replica of the Passion Path of Christ , whereby the stations usually correspond to the 7 or 14 stations of the Passion Path, rarely with other numbers. Often the path leads to the top of a mountain or hill, the last station with a depiction of the crucifixion of Christ being on the summit, making the elevation in question the Calvary . One then speaks of a station mountain .

- A rosary path in Bavaria runs through the Munich Reuther Forest from Waldsassen to the Holy Trinity Church in Kappl .
- A rosary path runs on the Sacro Monte di Ossuccio to the pilgrimage church above the village of Ossuccio on Lake Como .
Via Lucis
The Via Lucis (German "Lichtweg") is a young form, with 14 stations to the Easter circle . There is also a shortened form with 7 stations.
