Robin hood (comic)
Robin Hood (in the French original: Robin des Bois ) was a French comic series that was published from 1965 to 1975 by Editions de Vaillant, Paris. The series was written by comic book writer Jean Ollivier and drawn by Lucien Gartier, Christian Gaty and Charly Kiéfer. In Germany, a translation was published by Bastei-Verlag from 1973 to 1977 . Another translation appeared in Portugal in 1976.
Plot and characters
The plot episodes are based on the legend of Robin Hood , who is said to have lived as an outlaw in the woods of Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire , England in the High Middle Ages . Robin and his companions, which include the fictional characters Little John and Will Scarlet , go on numerous adventures. Your opponent is the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Publications
The Robin des Bois adventures were published in France from 1965 to 1975 by Editions de Vaillant. The first story was published in issue 1056 of the comic magazine Vaillant. From 1969, the publications were made in the successor magazine Pif Gadget , whose circulation in the early 1970s sometimes reached up to one million copies. The last story was published in Pif Gadget, issue 310. Reprints of individual stories appeared in the 1970s as well as in 1980 and 1991.
A German translation was published by Bastei-Verlag under the title Robin Hood - The Lord of the Woods from 1973 to 1977. A total of 97 issues of the comic series were published every fortnight. Remittenden were sold in Bastei anthologies, each with three issues in one volume. In addition to one to two four-color printed adventures by Robin Hood (approx. 20 pages in length), each issue contained an additional story by Fanfan der Husar (issues 1 to 47) and Torka the Tiger (issues 48 to 97) printed in black, white and red each with approx. 16 pages.
In Portugal, translations of several stories appeared in the magazine Tigre in 1976 under the name Robin dos Bosques .
