The Rocca di Novara , also Rocca Salvatesta, is one of the highest peaks of the Monti Peloritani in Sicily with a height of 1340 m . It is located in the western part of these mountains near the towns of Novara di Sicilia and Fondachelli-Fantina, near the road from Taormina to Terme Vigliatore .
The Rocca di Novara is not the highest, but it is the most striking mountain of the Monti Peloritani. Its summit consists of a slim, high limestone rock . Due to its characteristic shape and height, the Rocca di Novara is visible from afar and can serve as a point of reference.
