Roche Braziliano (* around 1630 in Groningen ; † around 1671 ) was a Dutch pirate who belonged to the Buccaneers .

Roche Braziliano was born in Groningen around 1630 and roamed the seas from 1654 to 1671. His real name could no longer be proven, but he is still known today by his nickname Roche Braziliano .

Roche was a notorious buccaneer who was known for his extreme brutality and drinking addiction . His most notorious acts are the lively barbecuing of two Spaniards because they did not want to give him their pigs and that he had anyone shot who did not want to drink with him. Before he went to Port Royal in 1654 , he was a privateer in Bahia . After being captured, the Spaniards captured him and brought him to Spain. He fled from captivity, bought a new ship from the buccaneer François l'Ollonais and continued his capture. He later sailed under the flag of Sir Henry Morgan .
