History and architecture
The processional chapel on the Steltenberg, located outside the village, is a small, plastered hall building . It was built in 1637 and consecrated in 1947. It is crowned with a roof turret in which a bronze bell from 1769 hangs. The three-sided end is rounded on the inside. The wooden ceiling is plastered. A fragmentary wall painting cycle in a painted scroll frame was uncovered between the windows in 1968/69. There are Passions - and martyr scenes shown and saints. The western gallery with flat carvings is marked 1637. In a small pointed arch niche in the outer wall stands a figure of St. Rochus . In 1967 four figures were stolen from the group of fourteen emergency helpers and later found again. These sculptures are currently in the St. Isidor Chapel in Niedereslohe.
