Rockowisko
The Rockowisko was a rock music - festival , which each year from 1980 to 1986 in Lodz ( Poland took place). It consisted of two stages, a Łódź rock band show for the first day or two and the main part with performers from all over Poland. The festival always took place in the sports hall of the City Sports Center (MOSiR) in Łódź. In 1981 it was visited by about 22,000 people, in 1983 17,138 tickets were sold.
Well-known Polish bands of various styles performed at Rockowisko, such as Kombi, Lady Pank , Lombard, Maanam , Republika , Turbo or TSA. Some of the bands released recordings of the concerts (for example Live Rockowisko '83 by TSA, Przegadane Dni. Live at Rockowisko '82 and Ostatni Płacz Grzeszników. Live at Rockowisko '86 by Turbo).
In 2005 a concert Rockowisko - 25 lat później ("Rockowisko - 25 Years Later") took place in Łódź on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the first festival in 1980.
