Rod Humble

Rodvik Humble (born June 1, 1964 ), called Rod , is an American game developer and manager. Among other things, he was CEO of the US software company Linden Lab and Vice President of the computer game manufacturer Electronic Arts .

Career

Humble has been a game developer since 1990, best known for his work at Electronic Arts, where he headed the development of The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 as head of the EA Play label . Previously, he worked at Virgin Interactive and Sony Online Entertainment , where he was involved in the development of the online role-playing game EverQuest . Rod Humble also develops his own experimental games such as The Marriage , Stars Over Half Moon Bay and Last Thoughts of the Aurochs .

On December 23, 2010, Linden Lab , operator of the virtual world Second Life , announced that Humble would take over the position of CEO of the company from January 2011. In January 2014 it was announced that Humble had left the company.
