The toboggan and leisure paradise Sankt Englmar (also toboggan run Egidi-Buckel , Vogelwuida Sepp ) is a free -of- charge leisure park opened in 1998 in Sankt Englmar in the Bavarian Forest . In addition to chargeable toboggan runs and roller coasters, some free play and employment opportunities are offered.

history

After a ski lift built in 1967 became unprofitable, the owners of the hillside property planned to build a summer toboggan run from 1996. With the help of EU funding, a two-seater tub bobsleigh track, a snack bar and a playground were put into operation by the opening at Whitsun 1998. In the first year of operation, 50,000 visitors came.

Since the first toboggan run was not allowed to be operated when it was raining, a two-seater, albeit weather-independent, all-weather coaster run was built in 2008.

In 2015, the longest roller coaster in Bavaria was opened under the name “Da vogelwuide Sepp” (755 m).
