The Waldwipfelweg Sankt Englmar – Maibrunn is a 370 meter long treetop path in the municipality of Sankt Englmar in the Bavarian Forest . It offers a good view over the mountain ranges of the Bavarian Forest, the Danube valley and the plains of the Gäuboden . The tourist attraction is operated by the company Waldwipfelweg GmbH St. Englmar ; entry to the site is chargeable.
construction
The 2.50 m wide panoramic walkway on 36 masts is handicapped and pram-friendly. It leads from the restaurant building over 370 m at up to 30 meters above the ground along various trees native to the Bavarian Forest with almost no height difference to the ground in a forest from which the circular route leads back to the starting point. A suspension bridge at a height of 25 m can be selected via a junction. There is a viewing platform halfway along the Waldwipfelweg.

In the years after the opening of the Waldwipfelweg, the operators implemented further offers for visitors to the area:

The facility is open all year round. The opening times during the day are adapted to the seasons. In extreme weather conditions, the Waldwipfelweg and possibly the entire facility can be closed.
