Rodeo backflip
As Rodeo Backflip or only briefly Rodeo Flip is called a jump combination of a backflip or backward somersault and a rotation or screw . For example, to do a 540 ° rodeo flip, you jump in the air and turn completely backwards around the horizontal body axis (backflip) and 540 ° around the vertical body axis, and then land on your feet again. According to the relevant literature, it is explicitly not suitable for beginners, as the basic skills must first be available.
The name of the trick jump originally comes from snowboarding , where the FIS also records its implementation in the Snowboard Judges Manual , and was later adopted in further developed or oriented sports such as wakeboarding or new school freeskiing . Other sports such as the FIS disciplines of old-school freestyle skiing , on the other hand, have their own names for the same trick. There it is usually called simply "540" and more rarely also "Rodeo 5".
