Roderick Esquivel

Roderick Esquivel (* 1927 or 1928 in Chiriquí ; † October 28, 2010 in Panama City ) was a Panamanian politician .

Esquivel was a PhD, Chicago graduate gynecologist and university professor. He had four children with his wife Jean. In the course of his political career he was first Minister for Labor, Social Affairs and Public Health in the government of Marco Robles . From 1984 he was Vice President of Panama in the reign of Nicolás Ardito Barletta and Eric Delvalle , after running for this position in 1968. He held this office until Manuel Noriega's impeachment . He was also President of the Partido Liberal and Vice President of the Liberal Internacional organization . He died on October 28, 2010 at the age of 82 in the clínica Paitilla in Panama City.
