Edmund Banaschewski

Edmund JA Banaschewski , completely Edmund Jakob Adam Banaschewski (born November 16, 1907 in Welschbillig , † March 17, 1992 in Munich ) was a German publisher and politician ( CSU ).

Life

He was the son of the doctor Franz Eduard Banaschweski. Among other things , he studied philology , philosophy and newspaper sciences and received his doctorate from the University of Hamburg with a dissertation on the “Typo-Sociology of Publishing”. In 1926 he became a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Arminia Heidelberg . He founded the Drei-Säulen-Verlag in Berlin in 1935 and the Werk-Verlag Dr. Edmund Banaschweski . In 1945 reconstruction began in Bad Wörishofen, and in 1952 the publishing house was relocated to Munich-Graefelfing. In addition to the Rohstoff-Rundschau, Banaschewski published, among other things, the medical journals Ärztliche Praxis: The newspaper of the doctor in clinic and practice (from 1949), Euromed and dental praxis published. From 1970 to 1971 he was President of the Association of German Magazine Publishers .
