Rodrigo Espíndola (born July 29, 1989 in Monte Grande ; † May 13, 2016 there ) was an Argentine football player .

Career

The 1.83 meter tall defensive player Espíndola has been in the squad of the Argentine club Chacarita Juniors since at least 2010 . There he came to four appearances in the Primera División in the 2009/10 season . He didn't score a goal. By the end of June 2013, he completed a total of 17 games in the Primera B Nacional and 34 games (one goal) in the Primera B Metropolitana in the following seasons . He was also used four times in the Copa Argentina . At the beginning of July 2013 he moved to the Racing Club . There Espíndola was only used in reserve. A year later, he joined Nueva Chicago in July 2014 . He played 15 times in the Primera B Nacional for the club and scored one goal. In 2015, he was also used six times during the club's first division membership.

death

When Espíndola said goodbye to relatives in front of his house late on May 12, 2016, he was seriously injured by a gunshot in the stomach in a robbery. He died in the hospital early in the morning of the following day as a result of the injury.

Espíndola was married and had a six-month-old son at the time of his death.
