Rodrigo Viega , full name Rodrigo Pascual Viega Alves , (born August 7, 1991 in Rivera ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.85 meter tall midfielder Viega was part of the squad of the first division club Atlético Peñarol at the beginning of his career in the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons . He completed two season appearances in the Primera División and also scored a goal in 2010/11. He was then loaned to league rivals Juventud for the first time in January 2013 to the end of June 2014 . By the end of the 2012/13 season he was six times (no goal) at the club from Las Piedras . In the following season he played 20 times in the top Uruguayan league and scored once in the opposing goal. For the 2014/15 season he initially returned to Peñarol for a few weeks, but was handed over to Juventud again in mid-August 2014 as part of a loan deal. In the 2014/15 season he played 26 games (five goals) in the Primera División. Since July 2015 he has been back in Peñarol's ranks and played four first division games (no goal) and two encounters (no goal) in the 2016 Copa Libertadores in the 2015/16 season, which ended the "Aurinegros" as Uruguayan champions . In early July 2016, he was loaned to CA Temperley . So far (as of July 16, 2017) he has played in five top division games (no goal) for the Argentines.
