The building

The Roermonder Strasse 74 building is located in the Merken district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The former Juswenge Hauf is now called Thelenhof and is mostly used as a residential building.

The building is inscribed in the Keilstein from the year 1753. The two-storey main house of the four-wing courtyard is built from brick masonry with stone walls . At the rear, half-timbering with brick lining was used. The arched gate passage has an inscription in the keystone .

The inscription reads:

M, S: IHS AC: D EHELEV TIH [1] 753: WHO WILT BAVEN ANE GASE- N VND STRASEN DER MVS IECKEN VND NAREN REDN LAS

The building is entered under No. 11/006 in the list of monuments of the city of Düren.
