Rognan
Rognan ( Pitesamisch : Rågno ; South Sami : Råggno ) is the capital of the municipality of Saltdal in Northern Norway (Nordland) on the Saltdalsfjord . Rognan had about 2,600 inhabitants in 2013.

The road E6 leads around the town center. The Nordlandbahn ( Nordlandsbanen ) has a train station here. There is a small harbor and shopping center, as well as a year-round campsite right by the fjord . The place is at the mouth of the Saltelva River in the Saltdalsfjord . A little outside of town on the E6 is the Polarsirkelsenteret, a museum about the nature of the Arctic Circle.
