Rogue Wave is an American rock band from Oakland , California .

history

In 2002 the musician Zach Rogue left his old band Desoto Reds to record his own album called Out of the Shadow . For live performances, however, he needed additional musicians and formed a permanent band called Rogue Wave . Through their appearances they soon found a label that released the debut LP .

With their second album Descended Like Vultures they reached the indie charts for the first time in 2005. Songs from her album were used on television shows, increasing their popularity. A difficult time followed with line-up changes, personal problems and a label change before the third album, Asleep at Heaven's Gate , was released after two years . Although it reached number 7 in the Heatseeker charts, it was otherwise hardly noticed. It wasn't until the album Permalight 2010 that Rogue Wave achieved its first major success. It was number 1 on the Heatseeker chart and hit the Billboard 200 .
