Raw stone
Rohanstein (Czech: Rohanský kámen ) is a monument on the 1012 m high mountain top of Ještěd (Jeschken) in the Czech Republic .
history
Over the summit of Ještěd the border led 100 years ago between the two manors those of Clam-Gallas and those of House Rohan . This border was marked by stones. An oversized granite boundary stone was erected on the Jeschken in 1838, at the same time as a reminder that one of the owners of the neighboring estate, Adéla Rohan, visited the summit that year.
The Rohanstein survived the turmoil of time and with a little effort you can still see the remains of the German Rohanstein inscription in the lower part .
