Roitzsch is a district in the east of the Saxon city of Wurzen in the Leipzig district . The name is derived from the stream Rietzschke (Slavic origin), which flows through the place.
history
The place Roitzsch was first mentioned in 1198.
In 1950 Roitzsch was incorporated into the city of Wurzen. At first there was a Vorwerk , later a manor from which the village developed.
