Roland Braun (General)

Roland Josef Braun (* 1953 ) is a German major general a. D. the Air Force .

From 1986 to 1988 Braun took part as captain in the 31st General Staff Course (L) at the Command Academy of the Federal Armed Forces (FüAkBw) in Hamburg and was awarded the General von Clausewitz Medal of Honor from the Clausewitz Society in 1988 for his annual work . After various assignments, the Colonel was commander of the Air Force NCO School (USLw) in Appen from 2004 to 2006 . He was then employed as office manager for State Secretary Christian Schmidt in the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVg) in Bonn . From April 1, 2008 he took over the staff department VII in the command staff of the armed forces in the BMVg. Most recently, he was deputy head of the FüSK department and head of the Armed Forces I department in the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVg) in Bonn. In 2015 he was retired.
