Roland Kischkel

Roland Kischkel (born February 15, 1959 in Höxter ) is a German specialist in German studies and pedagogue and has been Chancellor of the Bergische Universität Wuppertal since 2009 .

Life

Kischkel studied German and pedagogy at the Universities of Paderborn and Bielefeld . He was a research assistant at the Technical University of Darmstadt and received his doctorate in 1991 from the University of Bielefeld on the subject of "Language-Law-Politics - Studies on the Legal and Political Description of Language".

After completing his doctorate, Kischkel worked for the German Research Foundation , among other things as head of department and program director. In 2001 he moved to the Technical University of Dortmund , where he was appointed Chancellor for the first time . Since October 1, 2009, he has held this position at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal as the successor to Hans-Joachim von Buchka, who retired for reasons of age .
