Roland Meisl

Roland Meisl (born July 9, 1972 in Kuchl ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and lawyer. Meisl has been a member of the Salzburg state parliament since 2006 .

Meisl studied law after graduating from the technical college in industrial engineering and has been head of the legal department of a Seekirchen construction company since 2001.

Meisl has been a community representative of the SPÖ in Kuchl since 1994 and gained his first experience in local politics when he helped set up the youth center. Meisl has been Deputy Mayor of Kuchl since 2004 and is running as a candidate for mayor of the SPÖ in the 2009 municipal council elections. Meisl announced that if he was elected he would resign from his state parliament mandate. Meisl has been a member of the state parliament since December 13, 2006, he replaced the deceased member of parliament Martin Apeltauer and became area spokesman for municipalities and administration.
