Roland Wehrle (soccer player)
Roland Wehrle (born January 4, 1927 ) is a former German soccer player .
The center forward began his career at Blau-Weiss Freiburg . In 1949 he moved to Freiburg FC . A year later he left Freiburg to join VfB Stuttgart . Wehrle was signed to replace the long-term injured Walter Bühler . In the Oberliga Süd he played 90 games for VfB in which he scored 43 goals. Wehrle was German champion in 1952 with Stuttgart and German runner-up in 1953 . In 1954 he won the DFB Cup with VfB .
