The Rolf Dieter Brinkmann Society was a registered association with its seat in Vechta .

history

The association was founded in 1992 in honor of the late poet Rolf Dieter Brinkmann . It was dissolved in November 2012 by a membership resolution and deleted from the register of associations in February 2013.

The task of the literary association was to maintain and promote the work and memory of Rolf Dieter Brinkmann as well as literature and other arts that are connected to the work and impact of Rolf Dieter Brinkmann. In addition, the society promoted contemporary literature and employment with it.

Events organized by the company have been held regularly since 1993. Exhibitions, lectures, music performances, performances and readings alternated with each other. In addition to others, Christoph Wilhelm Aigner , Theo Breuer , Peter O. Chotjewitz , Kurt Drawert , Michael Hamburger , Ulla Hahn , Sarah Kirsch , Hermann Peter Piwitt , Jürgen Theobaldy , Richard Wagner , Peter Waterhouse , Wolf Wondratschek and Gerald Zschorsch appeared in the association's events .
