from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rolf-Jürgen Krutwig (born April 16, 1943 in Cologne ) is a German Ju-Jitsuka , judoka and author of several martial arts books.

Krutwig is a holder of the 6th Dan Goshin-Jitsu, 5th Dan Ju-Jutsu, the 2nd Dan Jūdō ( DDK and Kodokan ) and the 1st Dan Karate. He began his law training in 1958 in the police sports club. In 1963 he obtained his 1st Dan Jūdō and in 1967 he passed the examination for 2nd Dan in Brussels. Krutwig also teaches Jūdō, Ju-Jutsu and karate for the Air Force at the Cologne-Wahn Air Base .

In 1969 his third textbook appeared: Kendo im Bild as the first kendō textbook in German, although Krutwig did not practice this Budo discipline. There are voices who believe that the book is therefore riddled with errors and misinterpretations with regard to kendo.

The trained business economist was awarded the German Cross of Merit on November 30, 1992 .
