Rolf Bollmann (soccer player)

Rolf Bollmann (born July 17, 1948 in Weisslingen ) is a former Swiss football player and manager. The defender was a Swiss national player .

He played for FC Winterthur , which was promoted to the National League A in 1968 , since he was a junior . The club made it to the final of the Swiss League Cup in 1972 and 1973 and the Swiss Cup in 1975 . With 199 games, he is the player with the most appearances for FC Winterthur in the top Swiss league since the National League was founded in 1933.

In 1976 Bollmann moved to FC St. Gallen , where he was under contract until 1979. In 1978 the League Cup could be won. Bollmann was appointed to the Swiss national team once in 1974. After the end of his career, he confessed to using doping substances such as Captagon , which he had received from Fritz Künzli .

Later he was in the management of Adidas and Helsana . He was the publishing director during the merger of Badener Tagblatt and Aargauer Tagblatt . In 1999 Rolf Bollmann founded the commuter newspaper 20 Minuten with Schibsted . From 2005 to 2012 he was a member of the Tamedia management team. Then he became CEO and co-owner of Basler Zeitung Medien .
